Pondering

I need to “reboot” my life. I just have no clue where to even start. Not even an inkling on a possible direction to choose. All I know is I gotta do something… find some way to start over

  1. Move. That’s the best I can do for you, bud. You need to get out of your folks house. Get together a bit of money and move to vermont or mass or something. Heck, if you’re feeling reckless, move without finding the job first – that’s how I did it when I got out of college (not for the faint hearted).

  2. Sport to keep your body busy. Full time volunteering (out of the house – new group of people) to keep your mind busy. Even if it’s not paid and not a great job, just being busy and working on something on your CV might do you some good, even just short term.

  3. I wouldn’t mind moving away… But I have no money for such a concept. I’d HAVE to find a job first, and the luck I’m having in that department is just plain depressing.

  4. You’d be surprised how much you can do with very little. Sell off a couple old computers…other crap you may have…maybe sell your car/truck and get something cheaper etc. All you need is $1,000 and you can move out and make things happen. Trust me, I did it.

Maybe your folks would even help you out in that department. The big thing is if you do it, you go big or go home. Seriously. You move, you find a job. I had to apply to over 60 places in less than a week’s time before I got my gig at New Balance. Then I just worked my way up from there. I left New Balance for a different job, my position got eliminated, I went back to New Balance, then I ended up here (Franklin Printing) as an IT Manager. Gotta role with the punches, give it your best and leave the rest up to God (or fate if you aren’t a believer). You can do it Seth.

And if you reply and I don’t get back to you it’s because I never remember to check this thing and it doesn’t send me a message that someone added a reply.
