The last few days, I’ve been working on a new vision for the Milo Library’s website.  I met with the Librarian (Pam Flanagan) today , and she loved what I had!  I got the ftp info from her, and got it all setup and running.  It looks very spiffy!!

I’ve also added the Library as the newest member of the TRC Network.

Eric and I had a great planning session tonight.  We’ve got some big plans in the works, hopefully can make some money for ourselves.  We’re really starting to take this business thing seriously

Eric has hearby coined a new terminology for computers.  The Megagertz, abbrevieated Mgz.

I really need a new computer… or at the very least an upgrade.  My laptop, a PowerBook G4, is 8 years old, and barely hanging on.  My desktop is a frankenstein’d Compaq, with a shitty processor, plenty of ram and HD space, and a kickass graphics card.  Processor is holding me back something fierce  Was hoping to find a cpu/motherboard combo to ask for for Christmas, but not having any luck at all finding one that will fit in my case….  And on top of that, my graphics card is AGP, and no new motherboards seem to have AGP  Which means i’ll need a new cpu, motherboard, case, and freakin graphics card.  Getting far too expensive

What I really need is to find a job so I can afford the payments on my new dream MacBook Pro…..

The other day I noticed the TRC Photo Album wasn’t up to date anymore.  Its like 3-4 versions outdated  So I backed it all up, and attempted to upgrade it.

Well, I’m glad I did the backup.  It crashed and burned on the upgrade.  Can’t figure out what the heck is wrong.  Screwed around with it for an hour or so, and then put the old version back up.  At LEAST its working now.

Back to the drawing board on the upgrade…..  Not sure which angle to take next.  Gotta do some research and see if theres somethin special I need to do to upgrade from the version I have to the newest… I need instructions!!!!

I would like to go on record that photo galleries are evil.  I just spent two days mucking around with a Gallery2 installe for the Schoodic Lake Association.  It just would NOT work for me.  Kept glitching on creating thumbnails.  So I initiated a scorched-earth policy and burned it to the ground.  I then went back to my old faithful, Coppermine Photo Gallery.  I’ve used it on TRC for many years now.  I downloaded the new version, and i gotta say its pretty shiny.  Its working great, never had an issue.  Now I just need to backup the TRC gallery and update it….  I need a faster internet connection than my phone for this.
