I’m fed up with my phone.  I’ve decided to list out my reasons why.

• The volume up key doesn’t work
• The spacebar doesn’t work
• The keyboard backlight stopped working
• The backlight for the menu buttons stopped working
• The battery cover doesn’t latch properly anymore
• Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone locks up for no reason
• Sometimes when I answer a call, it never stops ringing

WTF.  Now that I’ve written this all out, the backlights have started working sporadically.  I’m ready to throw this thing in the ocean.

I’ve started window shopping for a new phone.  I’m due for a new one at the beginning of February, so its ALMOST time.  Problem is, the two that have caught my eye aren’t even out yet hahah.  Awhile back, I started looking at the Motorola Droid RAZR.  It was pretty shiny. Then they announced the new phones  The Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX looks very sexy.  Its just like the other Droid RAZR, but it has an ungodly battery life!  21 hours of straight talk time, like 138 hours of standby.  Thats unheard of!  BUT, its only a touch screen, has no real keyboard.  I like my real keyboard.

Thats why the other new phone caught my eye.  The Motorola Droid 4.  I have the Droid 1 haha.  Its got a real keyboard, and all the reviews say its the keyboard all other smartphone keyboards will aspire to be like.  I think that speaks highly of it.  And its  a dual core, fancy fancy shiny new phone.  I’m pretty sure the Droid 4 is what I want.  Now they just need to release it!!  Best I can find is February 2nd.  I hope my phone can make it till then….

I just read an article on the Bangor Daily News: Lack of interest kills bill to allow private prisons in Maine.  It has me kind of irritated.  You see, for the last few years, the Town of Milo has been talking about building a private prison in the empty business park in town.  The whole concept had its high and low points.  Thats not the basis of my rant here.

Governor LePage, in his campaign, promised Milo he would get us that prison built.  He was supposed to make sure the legislation and what-not passed.  Obviously, he hasn’t.  Can anyone give me one good example of something good he actually has accomplished??  Just goes to show that politicians never follow through on crap.  And LePage is the poster-boy for politicians.  When he first started running for office, every time I saw his picture all I could think of was a stereo-typical political cartoon of a corrupt politician.  That’s what he looks like!  Seriously.  I’m not the only one who sees this.

Anyways, I just think its ridiculous about the private prison.  That poor business park is never going to get anything built in it.

Damn you Interwebs!!

It would appear in the process of upgrading the TRC Forums, that I umm errr may have killed it.  I was running the upgrade script… and well, it locked up.  I’ve never really seen a php script do that before.  Its befuddling.

Luckily, I backed it all up before I started.  Now I get to upload it allllll over again.  Sigh.

A week or two ago, I bought a 12 pack of toilet paper.  It cost me $4.99.  It’s made from recycled paper, so its cheap.

Fast forward to tonight.  I return to the same store, to purchase an identical pack.  It cost me $8.49.

Can someone explain this to me?!  I’ve never heard of such ridiculous fluctuations in toilet paper prices…

Curses.  Foiled again.  I attempt to sit down, install Skyrim, and try it out.  Bur first, I run updates, as I haven’t used Windows on my iMac in months.  It would appear that I have killed Windows.  Well, more like brutally murdered.  It won’t boot. I can’t get it to do SHIT.  Now I have to reinstall Windows.  I hate this process.

Frustrated am I.  My Wordbooker thing is grabbing random pictures, and I can’t make it stop.  And it doesn’t seem to post any posts that I make from phone.  I’m pretty sure it used to….

I tried out another plugin, and it failed just as horribly.  Apparently I have the best already.  Guess I just gotta wait till it gets updated.  BLAH.

It must be political season.  The signs have started sprouting up everywhere in the last week.  Apparently, we’re electing a new Mayor here in Belfast.  One can tell from the plethora of signs all over.  Best I can tell there are only 3 candidates.  But I digress.

One of the candidate’s signs is annoying me to no end. I simply reads:  ”O’Connor Elect Mayor”.  Go ahead, read it again.  Is it just me, or does it feel like they just threw some “keywords” up on a piece of paper?  Usually signs say Elect Someone, or someone for mayor. Not “Elect Mayor”.  I mean, come on!  What happened to grammar?  Punctuation? Making sense?  Its like a sign of a flipping tweet.

If I sound crazy, I apologize.  That sign was driving me nuts (I drove by it at least 6 times today) and I had to vent

Now I don’t wanna get off on a rant here, but I’m pretty frustrated with my computer right now.  My accounting program I use for WayFar Design was acting up, so I went and found it was WAY outdated.  Got the new version.  It no longer does invoices.  Which is pretty much ALL I used it for.  Seriously?  At first, I wanted to yell and complain, until I investigated their website, only to find they have a NEW application, specifically for doing INVOICES.  Except its only available on trial basis, and its so new I can’t find a copy anywhere.  I don’t understand why companies need to be evil, and split software up just to make more money. But that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.
