I’ve hit my depressed funk again.  I reviewed my finances for the next few weeks today, and all it did was make me realize just how poor I am, and that its going to keep on continuing.  I’m 31 for crying out loud, shouldn’t something in life be looking up at this point?  It seems like I have fewer friends all the time, I’m always struggling to pay my bills on time, never have any spare money, I’ve been single for something like 2 years now, the list goes on.

I got no plan.  I got no vision of the future.  I don’t know where I’m heading anymore.

I’ve been sitting here for an hour researching what I want for a new phone.  I’d really been looking at the Droid 4 that comes out this week, but I’ve dug a bit deeper.  The only pro it really has for me is the full keyboard.  The Droid RAZR MAXX looks like a much nicer phone.  No keyboard, but the screen is bigger, its a better screen (AMOLED instead of TFT), and its got a much more impressive battery.  I think I’m gonna go for the RAZR.  I had one of the original RAZR phones, I had THE original Droid, and now I’ll have their offspring.

I had a very productive day at work today.  I upgraded my workstation from a Pentium 4 HT to an Intel Core2Duo.  Let me tell you, the change is AMAZING!  My VirtualBox of Windows is actually responsive now.  You don’t click and wait, you click and something happens!! Everything is just snappier. I even did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10 instead of the upgrade I had before, so the system is even running better. Not to mention its 64bit now

Stayed home sick today…  was up all last night having dizzy spells  Every time i opened my eyes the room was spinning. just layed in bed for hours.

Felt like crap this morning, felt like crap all day.  slept a few hours, watched tv, still feel like crap.

Guess i’m just gonna go to bed… hope i feel better in the morning.

I have triumphed over the TRC Forums.  They are new, improved, and working!  As a consolation prize, we also have a shiny new photo album!  Well, it looks the same, but its upgraded, and so far it seems to be working much better!

TRC Forums

Today was pretty damned productive.  I successfully upgraded the TRC Forums, modified the TRC Admin logins, AND got the Photo Album upgraded and linked to the forums (better than it was before) without a hitch!  I call that a pretty productive day.

All I have to do now is get the categories, boards, and usergroups setup in the new forums, and we’ll be good to go.  I think I’m going to try and keep this productive roll going and work on my backlog of TRC stuff all this week.  Look for more updates!  And if I can get in touch with one of my partners in crime, we might see some progress on the big redesign/overhaul of TRC thats been in the planning for months now!

But now, I’m off to bed.  I’m excited for work tomorrow.  I get to play with a Mac Mini!

Just wanted to update everyone on how I’m doing.  I got the Admin logins working off the new forums.  I still have a long way to go though.  The forums are locked down, so don’t even try registering for a new account yet.  It’ll be a few more days.  I still have some tweeks, updates, and bugs to work out.

On a side note, I also need to do something with the TRC Photo Album.  Its logins were synced with the old forums, but luckily, I should be able to sync them the same way with the new forums.  Ran into one downside though: the photo album is several versions outdated.  I need to work on upgrading it first, then attaching it.  For the time being, I’ve simply locked down the photo album.  Everything is still there, but logins are messed up right now, and I don’t want anything worse to happen to it.

There will be a big announcement on the TRC Homepage when everything is back up and running.  For now, keep watching here for more updates!

Things were going to well.  It seems I have the admin logins all working great, but my method for making them work on the TRN domain no longer seems to work. I’ve spent an hour trying to figure it out.  I need it to set a cookie on the other domain, which requires it to trigger a script remotely.  It doesn’t wanna let me on the new forums  Something I gotta work around… or disable.  Ugh.

Break time. I need to step away from all this for awhile.  My head is spinning with php code.
